Plume Network Unlocks Cross-Chain RWA Yields Through SkyLink Across 17 Networks, Including Solana, Movement, and Injective
January 24, 2025

We’re excited to announce a significant expansion of Plume’s cross-chain ecosystem with the planned deployment of SkyLink across 17 blockchain networks. SkyLink, Plume’s interoperability solution for secure, cross-chain Real World Asset (RWA) yield distribution, enables seamless yield delivery directly to user wallets across multiple chains. This initiative comes as RWAs continue to gain momentum, with total onchain value doubling in the past year to almost $17 billion.

Through SkyLink, networks can now provide permissionless access to institutional-grade RWA yields. The initial cohort includes Solana, Movement, Injective, Omni Network, Zircuit, ApeCoin, Core, Polyhedra, Gravity by Galxe, Merlin, Xion, Rome, Echelon, D3, Hemi, Memento, and Camp Network.

SkyLink’s mirrored YieldTokens facilitate continuous yield streaming directly to user wallets while leveraging LayerZero’s SyncPools architecture for smooth omnichain functionality. Notably, SkyLink ensures that total value locked (TVL) remains securely on each chain, preserving liquidity and boosting network value.

“The growth of the RWA sector depends on the collaborative efforts of diverse blockchain ecosystems, each contributing unique strengths to build a robust cross-chain infrastructure,” said Teddy Pornprinya, Co-founder of Plume Network. “By aligning with these networks, we're establishing the foundation for an interoperable RWA landscape where institutional-grade yields are easily accessible across any chain or rollup.”

Tokenization of traditional markets, valued at over $100 trillion in commodities, bonds, and stocks, represents a tremendous opportunity. However, while RWA tokenization has seen remarkable growth, yield distribution across blockchain ecosystems remains fragmented.

SkyLink’s integration with LayerZero creates unified pools with cross-chain mint and burn functionality, enabling seamless YieldToken issuance and redemption while upholding Plume’s asset custody and compliance standards.

The integration delivers:

  • Continuous yield streaming across any supported blockchain network
  • Permissionless access to institutional-grade RWA yields
  • Native composability for yield-bearing tokens across DeFi applications
  • Unified compliance and security standards across all chains
“Looking ahead to 2025, we believe multi-chain interoperability will be crucial in unlocking the next phase of RWA adoption,” added Jason Meng, Head of Business Development at Plume Network. “Our goal is to make Plume the hub for cross-chain RWAfi yield distribution, supporting the growing demand for real-world asset exposure in DeFi. We are actively seeking to integrate new networks to expand this ecosystem further.”

Plume SkyLink: building an interoperable RWA ecosystem

Plume SkyLink's first cohort of integrations mark the beginning of an interoperable RWA ecosystem, with every network contributing to a seamless and universal RWAfi experience.

  • ApeChain: A dedicated infrastructure layer powering the ApeCoin ecosystem. Built on the Arbitrum stack, it focuses on ecosystem discovery, unique Web3 rails, and top-of-funnel exposure.
  • Core: A Bitcoin-powered, EVM-compatible blockchain that inherits Bitcoin miner security, unlocks BTC-native yield opportunities, and secures a BTCfi landscape of scalable decentralized applications (dApps).
  • Camp Network: The world's first interoperable social data layer that enables dApps to build better, personalized experiences while allowing users to own and monetize their social data.
  • D3: World’s first DomainFi network to tokenize 362M+ existing and future domains as real-world assets.
  • Echelon: Building Echelon Chain as a hub for DeFi on the Move Stack via Initia, supporting seamless decentralized finance applications.
  • Gravity (by Galxe): A high-performance Layer 1 blockchain enabling mass adoption with over one gigagas per second throughput, sub-second finality, a pipelined AptosBFT consensus, and PoS security via restaking.
  • Hemi: Aims to unify Bitcoin and Ethereum networks by providing a modular layer-2 solution, enhancing scalability and interoperability between the two ecosystems.
  • Injective: A layer-1 blockchain designed for DeFi derivatives, facilitating complex financial instruments and markets.
  • Memento: Concentrates on developing durable, decentralized data storage solutions tailored for blockchain applications, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Merlin: Specializes in adapting assets for the Bitcoin ecosystem, thereby enhancing its DeFi capabilities and broadening its financial use cases.
  • Movement Labs: Provides modular blockchain solutions aimed at enhancing interoperability and scalability across various platforms.
  • Omni Network: Omni is the abstraction layer for the Ethereum ecosystem, allowing developers to access all the users and liquidity across rollups without upgrading their contracts.
  • Polyhedra Network: Employs zero-knowledge proofs to enable efficient and secure cross-chain transactions, enhancing interoperability between different blockchains.
  • Rome Protocol: Modularizes Solana into enshrined services, enabling Layer 2 solutions and EVM apps to leverage Solana's speed, with shared sequencers for cross-chain interoperability and atomic composability.
  • Solana: A high-speed, low-cost blockchain supporting decentralized applications (dApps), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized finance (DeFi), with a strong emphasis on scalability.
  • Xion: XION, the first walletless layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for consumer adoption through chain abstraction. It integrates functionalities like account management, signature handling, fee abstraction, and interoperability directly at the protocol level.
  • Zircuit: A layer-2 solution featuring AI-enhanced security, combining optimistic and zero-knowledge (ZK) rollups to deliver high-performance blockchain operations.
